The 49ers (20) will meet ninth-ranked Duke (20) at 6 p.m. today in a second-round game at Cameron that will be televised on ESPN. Tonight’s winner will advance to New York for the NIT semifinals on Nov. 25.

time: 6pm
channel: ESPN

This is going to one of the biggest games for the Charlotte 49ers in recent years. After having a strong showing against Elon last night the 49ers will have a formable opponent tonight when they play Duke who is nationally ranked 9th.

The star of the night was Shamari Spears’ who made his 49ers debut last night with an impressive 26 points. Spears’, who has already played Duke last year when he played with Boston College, will lend a great amount of experience to the rest of 49ers in tonights game.

Tonight will be no doubt be a huge game for the 49ers and if they could pull off an upset they will cement themselves as a important team in the 2009-10 season.
