New high-rise planned: Tryon Place

In other non-Patrick-Cannon news, looks like a new high-rise, called Tryon Place, is planned for a plot on Tryon right before the bridge into Southend.
Crescent’s plans include a 27-story office tower along Tryon Street and a boutique hotel. The firm says the office building could range in size from 500,000 to 1 million square feet.
The office project would include street-level retail space and a four-story atrium with space for restaurants and shops. An adjacent 10-level parking structure would hold 1,065 spaces, with two of those levels underground, according to a October 2013 design narrative and plans by architecture and design firm Little.
