Startup Social at Packard Place, Tues Feb 28, and it’s free (as in beer, literally)

I’m passionate about the Charlotte startup community. I always felt Charlotte had the talent to support early-stage technology companies but struggled to find a network of them. So the first thing I did was create a startup meetup. This confirmed Charlotte had a community but it was fragmented. I discovered several startup groups, but now my goal is to connect them so entrepreneurs can use local resources to make their startup a success.

We held the first startup social in November and Cloud Castle graciously picked up the tab. Leading up to the event we had 83 RSVPs and the social lasted about 4 hours.  I didn’t make it to the end but I saw the tweets. No speeches. No agenda. We just encouraged everyone to talk to friends and strangers. Several people mentioned they would like to do another one, including some who couldn’t be there.  Packard Place also said they would host and cover the tab for the next social.

So we are doing the second startup social at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, February 28 at Packard Place. The event is free.  Anyone that wants to get involved and contribute to the Charlotte startup community is invited and should attend. If you want to work at a startup, be there.

RSVP for Startups at Packard

After you RSVP, leave a comment and mention your startup so we can add it to the list.  Thanks and we look forward to meeting you!
