I fancy myself a pretty creative person. Apart from blogging I love to paint, make jewelry and travel. For still being in my 20s I feel like Iāve lived a lot of years and have seen a LOT of things. Iāve survived a cancer scare, I live with Interstitial Cystitis, battled depression, lost people to cancer, seen people die before my eyes, gotten married, been robbed, volunteered like crazy both locally and internationally, Iāve seen people at their worst, most desolate state only to also see people rise above adversity I could never imagine and, above all, learned to not to let life make me jaded. My personal mantra: Short term sacrifice, long term benefit. My absolute favorite quote: āAlthough (the poet) Shelley was right about our sincerest laughter being fraught with sadness, itās the sadness, in a way, which makes happiness complete.ā – John Mortimer I spent time in China going to school and have visited a ton of countries. Of them all, I really liked Lichtenstein, Austria, and of course, China. I also enjoyed Germany the three times Iāve been and France was neat. I didnāt get to spend enough time in France though those who were close to me in school said they always see me landing there sometime in my life. I canāt say I donāt hope that wonāt one day happen. I would love to live in Seattle as well at some point. When I was little I wanted to be a newscaster business owner. Iām not sure if the first will ever pan out, though I have been on the news a number of times now. The likelihood of me owning and running my own business one day though seems likely as Iām pretty resourceful and clever in business settings. I suppose thatās what makes me a good Executive Assistant; plus it allows me to learn on someone elseās dime what to do and what not to do to be successful. A lot of what I write about it based on my everyday experiences and typically my delivery of information tends to be on the poignant/snarky side but I have the best intentions. I hope you enjoy reading my ranting! I know I definitely enjoy writing them. |
