Video from the past

I came across these two videos recently: one filmed driving through the city in October 1986, and another taken by the same person following the same route just last month. I could watch this kind of stuff for hours.

Afro-American Cultural Center

The Freelon Group of Research Triangle Park, NC was recently awarded the 2007 AIA Triangle Award for Unbuilt Projects. In association with Neighboring Concepts, they will be designing Charlotte’s new Afro-American Cultural Center, its mission being to promote and preserve African American culture, history, and art.
