Reid’s Fine Foods moving out of uptown

Reid’s Fine Foods is closing its store at 225 E. Seventh St. on June 30, ending an 11-year run.
The grocery store’s owner, Chuck Richards, decided not to renew the lease at Seventh Street Station, citing the impact of the recession.
He is negotiating for space at another location. He wouldn’t specify the site except to say it was outside of uptown.
“The economy has not bounced back like we had hoped,” Richards says. “It’s not in our best interest to remain here with that large a lease.”
