Get ready for Barcamp next weekend
Posted on 5 Oct 2009 by James Willamor
Barcamp Charlotte is fast approaching, and will again be held at Area Fifteen in NoDa on Saturday, October 17th at 9AM. This is a free event to attend, but the organizers are still looking for sponsors in order to make shirts and lunch free as well. Topics from the last Barcamp include Twitter, PR/journalism, social media, SEO, film making, Linux, and how to make money on the internet. From their website:
So whats going to happen?
Barcamp is a conference with content created by the attendees. This means that we don’t know who is going to speak before the day, because they are going to be coming as well, pitching their talks or discussions and then letting you decide. You won’t be hearing sponsored talked, or from people payed or paying to speak – in true democracy you will be deciding what sort of conference you want.
