Ten Twenty Twenty-Twelve represents grassroots Charlotte artists, this Sat starting at 7 PM
Posted on 18 Oct 2012 by Justin Ruckman
From one of the represented artists, Eric Hurtgen:
The goal of the art show is to feature the work of emerging artists and to create a space for people from Charlotte’s creative community to meet and hang out. There are so many great grassroots projects that have sprung up in the last few years during the recession and we wanted to add our voices to that—to help add to the positive momentum in the arts scene. Obviously, the more of us that come together and throw art shows, organize meet-ups and support new initiatives, the brighter the future is for Charlotte as a cultural destination. And that’s eventually good for the community as a whole. This is our way of hopefully contributing to that.
The event is being organized by, and for the following artists:
- Brandon Willet
- Dan Romanoski
- Derek Turner
- Dominique Verechia
- Eric Hurtgen
- KC Preslar
- Michael Forrest
- Nathaniel Lancaster
- Nicholas Balachandran
- Taylor Williams
Check it out at the AKA Creative Gallery this Saturday, Oct 20. Doors open at 7 PM and admission is free. Cash bar available.
