Posted on 13 Aug 2012 by Justin Ruckman

Media will have the first opportunity to access the never-before-seen Freewheelin pedal buses, or “bus-cycles,” being made available for free to convention-goers, Charlotte residents and visitors from Sept. 26 during the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

Humana is providing 20 Freewheelin pedal buses as a fun, healthy, green and shaded means of transportation during both the DNC and RNC.

Humana will also unveil the pedal bus routes to get people to convention hot spots. Pedal buses will make stops at multiple Freewheelin stations that will offer free biometric health screenings, fresh fruit and cold water to riders.
