McCrory returns from campaign early in light of current events

“Republican candidate for governor Pat McCrory cut short a western campaign swing to focus on his mayoral duties in Charlotte.

McCrory’s campaign said he canceled a lunch in Waynesville and rally in Brevard on Monday afternoon to return home after news of Wachovia selling its banking operations to Citigroup.

Campaign spokesman Amy Auth said he also returned to work on easing gasoline supply problems in the city. Auth said McCrory’s schedule for Tuesday was still unclear late Monday.”
